The Nursing Memorial Appeal has used reliable sources in drawing up the list of names of nurses who gave their lives for their country in the course of conflict. Where possible the data has been cross-checked. It will be appreciated, however, that in some cases the source documents may contain errors in the spelling of names, in dates of birth and death, or in other details such as places of birth and death and the units to which nurses were attached. If any errors are identified or if further supporting information is known, the Nursing Memorial Appeal will be pleased to be notified.
The Nursing Memorial Appeal is grateful to the organisations and individuals who have prepared the source documents, who include
