JULY 19TH Today is a day to be remembered by me, for it is just a year today since I joined the army, I little thought then that I should go through what I have done, but I thank God for keeping me safe through it all. We are losing a lot of men with heat stroke, and the strength of our battery is about 50 officers and men out of 130, it takes us all our time to fire the guns, we shall either have to get more men, or go out of action.
